Description

Joyland. In the summer of 1973, college student Devin Jones takes a job at Joyland, a small North Carolina amusement park, hoping to earn money and escape a broken heart. Immersed in the world of carnival games, fortune tellers, and colorful performers, he quickly becomes part of the close-knit community that keeps the park running.

Yet Joyland harbors a dark secret. Years earlier, a young woman was murdered in the park’s haunted attraction, and rumors persist that her ghost still lingers there. As Devin becomes increasingly fascinated by the unsolved crime, he begins investigating the mystery, uncovering clues that others have long ignored.

At the same time, Devin forms a touching friendship with a young boy named Mike, who is seriously ill but possesses an extraordinary sensitivity to the unseen. Their bond changes Devin’s life, teaching him lessons about love, loss, courage, and compassion.
