Mr. Mercedes set to be adapted into a film

The Tracking Board reports that Temple Hill and Media Rights Capital have acquired the rights to Stephen King’s novel Mr. Mercedes. The book will arrive on June 3.

The film will be directed by Jack Bender (LostAliasUnder the DomeThe Sopranos). The deal was made by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey (Twilight series, Safe HavenA Good Day To Die HardI, RobotBehind Enemy Lines), who will produce. They are currently meeting with writers as they try to develop the story of the film.
