Description
The Shining (United Kingdom) follows Jack Torrance, a struggling writer and recovering alcoholic who takes a job as winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in the Colorado mountains. Hoping for a fresh start with his wife Wendy and young son Danny, Jack moves his family into the hotel just as heavy snows cut them off from the outside world. Danny possesses a powerful psychic ability known as “the shining,” which allows him to see the hotel’s terrifying past and the malevolent forces lurking within it.
