Description

The Stand by Stephen King is an epic post-apocalyptic novel that follows the aftermath of a catastrophic superflu, known as Captain Trips, which wipes out most of humanity and leaves the surviving population divided between two opposing forces: one led by the benevolent Mother Abagail and the other by the sinister Randall Flagg. As civilization collapses, the survivors are drawn into a struggle between good and evil that will determine the future of the world. Combining horror, fantasy, adventure, and social commentary, The Stand is widely regarded as one of King’s most ambitious and influential works.
